For over two decades, Carla Jones has dedicated her practice to providing litigation and transaction services to real estate, community associations, bankruptcy, probate, banking and commercial clients.
Upon graduating from University of Florida with a Bachelors of Science in Finance, she worked as an analyst at Mellon United National Bank. Two years later she returned to the University of Florida to earn her Juris Doctor. After her graduation from law school she worked for several years at a law firm that served exclusively as general counsel for all Bank of New York/Mellon branches in South Florida.
Ms. Jones represents community associations in all facets of operation. Additionally, she advises lenders, developers, corporations and individuals regarding land acquisitions and sales, real estate financing, loan closings and related matters. As a result of her extensive real estate, banking and litigation experience, judges regularly appoint Ms. Jones to serve as receiver in situations involving distressed multi-unit commercial properties, and as attorney ad litem in foreclosure actions.
Perpetually active in real estate, Ms. Jones was formerly licensed as a mortgage broker, and is currently licensed as a real estate agent and a title agent. Additionally, she was on the faculty of the Miami-Dade First Time Home Buyer Program for many years.
Actively involved in the community she calls home, Ms. Jones currently serves as a board member and officer for the Jessie Trice Community Health System, Inc.
